HOW MAZI NNAMDI KANU'S LAWYERS SHRED THE MASKED WITNESS ON THE LAST COURT OUTTING ON JUNE 19, 2025

Defence: What part of Nigeria is the defendant from?

PW5-EEE: From Southeast, Nigeria

Defence: What organization does he lead?

PW5-EEE: He is the leader of IPOB according to his broadcasts

Defence: Is IPOB affiliated to Lagos, Ilorin, Ibadan, etc?

PW5-EEE: No, my Lord

Defence: In relation to exhibit PWD2; assessment of damage following End SARS protest… Go to page 669. What do you have there?

PW5-EEE: A pictorial representation of IPOB and ESN activities in Anambra State

Defence: From pages 1 to 668, do you have assessment of IPOB and ESN activities?

PW5-EEE: No, my Lord

(Defence seeks and is granted permission from the judge to see exhibit PW2 from the registrar. That is, ‘Lagos State judicial panel of inquiry - on restitution for victims of SARS’ . . . Witness is shown the above exhibit)

Defence:  Are you aware there were inquiries and reports following the End SARS movement?

PW5-EEE: I don't know

Defence: Have you seen any report indicating the defendant, and IPOB, following the reports of End SARS panel if inquiry

PW5-EEE: No idea

Defence: From your report, pages 669 to end are matters associated with IPOB and ESN; correct?

PW5-EEE: Not so, my Lord

Defence: You did not take part in investigating the charges against the defendant

PW5-EEE: I only obtained records of public properties destroyed during End SARS

Defence: The defendant told the citizens to demonstrate against ‘police brutality,’ that is the End SARS movement?

PW5-EEE: His broadcasts incited violence amid End SARS movement

Defence: So, when Osun State destroyed public properties, following End SARS, it was because of the defendant? How about the same in Lagos State?

PW5-EEE: Only in Lagos State I'm aware. Nnamdi Kanu made several statements before, during, and after End SARS movement; inciting violence – urging protesters to execute acts of insurrection against the country

Defence: Was End SARS movement a Biafran issue? Have you heard about one AISHA YUSUF? She took part in the End SARS movement

PW5-EEE: I know AISHA YUSUF. Yes, she took part in the End SARS movement.

Defence: Is Aisha of Igbo descent? Or an IPOB member? Or from Abia State?

PW5-EEE: I have not investigated that

Defence: Are you aware that the ‘End SARS’ protest rose up from myriads of police brutality? Do you know what SARS mean?

PW5-EEE: SARS stands for ‘Special Anti Robbery Squad’

Defence: Did Nigerians protest against SARS?

PW5-EEE: They were instigated

Defence: Are you aware there were killings in Lagos State, Ondo State, etc?

PW5-EEE: Yes, to an extent

Defence: Allegations of police brutality preceded End SARS movement; correct?

PW5-EEE: I can say there were pretexts - excuses to start the protests

Defence to PW5-EEE: Go to page ***… Burning of High Court in Emoshere, Lagos Island, during the End SARS protest; correct?

PW5-EEE: That's correct

Defence: Go to subsequent pages; Ebute-ero police station in Lagos State, Oba’s palace were burnt down during End SARS protest; correct?

PW5-EEE: Yes, my Lord

Defence: Did you take any photographs of all these yourself?

PW5-EEE: Not directly. We were a team.

Defence: In your evidence-in-chief did you obtain your records from heads of security personnels?

PW5-EEE: Yes, my Lord

Defence: Can you give Lord the memory card containing the photographs your team took?

PW5-EEE: I don't have them now

Defence: With digital cameras, one could see the dates when photos were taken; correct?

PW5-EEE: No idea

Defence: None of the photos you presented, from pages 669 were allegedly associated with IPOB and ESN. And none bore any date on the prints of the  pictorial representations in this exhibit

PW5-EEE: No visible date, my Lord (after a long argument)

Defence: From page 669 to the end, relating to the States you mentioned above… You only have a presidential ad hoc committee investigating IPOB leader, and ESN. There are none in pages 1 - 668. Is that correct?

PW5-EEE: You are correct

Defence: I put it to you that you produced page 669 and improperly attached it to your this document; to elaborate on the activities of the defendant, and ESN

PW5-EEE: Not correct, my Lord

Defence: From page 669… You only have a presidential ad hoc committee investigating IPOB leader, and ESN.

Are you a member of the above presidential adhoc committee?

PW5-EEE: Yes. Fortunately, I am the secretary

Defence: Who is the chairman of the said committee?

PW5-EEE: He is a police officer. But I won't say their name in public

(Defence seeks and is granted permission by the judge to let PW5-EEE whisper the name of the said chairman to his hearing…)

(Judge grants plea as defence counsel, Ikpeazu, approaches PW5-EEE towards the witness box to grasp the name of the presidential ad hoc committee. . . Ikpeazu expresses satisfaction; thanks the judge)

Defence to PW5-EEE: Can you show my Lord any page of exhibit PWD2, where the document was dated and signed by the chairman (you mentioned to me) and secretary of the said committee?

PW5-EEE: There is none, sir (after much argument)

Defence: You said you certified this document… Show my Lord any page where certified?

PW5-EEE: There is none (after much argument)

Defence: Look at the certification attached here… What office certified it?

PW5-EEE: Office of Public Prosecution

Defence: Are you a member of Public Prosecution?

PW5-EEE: No

Defence: Go to page 6 of PWD2B… There are no name of persons killed. And there is no mention of towns/villages of supposed dead people mentioned here?

PW5-EEE: None, my Lord

Defence: Describe where the bodies were found. No information, correct?

PW5-EEE: Yes, my Lord

Defence: Look at page 11. Is there any name of a medical officer who supposedly conducted and signed these investigations?

PW5-EEE: There was a medical officer who conducted the investigations

Defence: What is their name?

PW5-EEE: (Could not answer)

Defence: I put it to you, this document was made part of this case only after the proceedings of June 13, 2025.

PW5-EEE: Not correct

Defence: These documents were addressed to you

PW5-EEE: Not correct

Defence to Judge: Thank you, my Lord for your patience. I am done cross-examining the witness

Judge: Mr EEE, you are hereby discharged
