A shocking incident has unfolded in Delta State, where a suspected kidnapper, identified as Moses from Kogi State, was apprehended by the police for allegedly murdering his victim, Victor Ochei, 38, after collecting a ransom of 300,000 Naira.
*The Abduction and Murder*
According to reports, Moses, who worked with Victor in an oil mill, strategically abducted him on Sunday, June 29, 2025, and took him to a bush in Ute-Okpu. The suspect allegedly hit Victor at the back of his head with a stick, leading to his death. Moses then covered Victor's lifeless body with palm fronds.
*The Ransom Demand*
After taking Victor's life, Moses used his phone to contact the family members and demanded a ransom of 10 million Naira. Unaware that Victor was already dead, the family raised 300,000 Naira and transferred it to Moses' Opay account.
*Arrest and Confession*
Through the intervention of security agents, Moses was eventually apprehended and confessed to the crime. As of the time of filing this report, the suspect is still in police custody.

Victor Ochei was laid to rest on Friday, July 4, 2025, at his residence in Umunede, bringing closure to the family and friends who were left devastated by his tragic death. The police are expected to ensure justice is served in this heinous crime.
